For years now zombies have slowly been shuffling their way into a permanent spot as the king of monsters in our pop culture. Yeah, the vampires are really popular, too, but as as they’re either walking around in the daylight or selling their blood as a super awesome drug for humans then I don’t really consider them monsters anymore. But zombies?

Zombies are fucking terrifying.

With AMC launching their new series THE WALKING DEAD this fall and a whole host of new features centered around the undead that just played at Fantastic Fest, rotting corpses that hunger for brains look to be resurrecting stronger than ever. Soon, the zombie apocalypse will actually be here, but many of us will be prepared. So before teh dead rise and civilization as we know it collapses, we figured it was time to really celebrate the zombies and everything they’ve done for our world.
